Continuously seeking new forms of expression, producer, DJ, and sound engineer ptr1 has always loved to tinker with gear and experiment with programming. Beginning with instrumental hip-hop, ptr1‘s first productions had him reaching across genres through breakbeat, drum n bass, and experimental electronica in search of his own definitive sound. Whether the search has ended or is simply pausing for breath, ptr1 has remained during the last few years in the world of dubby electronica and dubstep, reaching to oldschool garage as well as techno inspirations.

ptr1 is the author of the critically acclaimed Above The Structures EP released by Concrete Cut in November 2010 as well as many remixes for artists such as Inanna, Tom Encore, Substep Infrabass, Teielte, Krojc and Liquid Molly, just to mention a few. He is now constantly working on new productions, some of which will be included on his forthcoming releases.

As a live act, ptr1 performs a patchwork of original material, remixes, and improvised re-edits all with a generous helping of deep bass, intricate drum patterns, and a uniquely dubby atmosphere.
